Select Surf

Program Overview:

Clairemont Surf offers competitive softball oportunities for 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U players outside the of the All Star season.

Surf is an additional program, not a replacement for spring rec. All players must be registered and actively participate in the Spring Rec Season.

Season: January 1-March 31 *All games , friendlies, and practices can only take place on Sundays. There is to be no additional gathering or practice on any other day.

All Friendly games require advance approval through CGFP and USA Softball. All Participants must follow the CGFP Code of Conduct.

No team can be formed prior to January 1, players will be invited to the roster by the Manager.

Important Dates:

October 24: Manager applications are due

December 28: Player interest form is due

December 28: Spring Rec Registration deadline for all Surf players. No exceptions.

January 1: Surf  Season begins

March 31: Surf season ends
Player Eligibility and Team Seection

  • Players must attend at least 75% of their regular rec games to continue to be eligible to play on a Surf  team.
  • Teams are formed based on Manager Selection.
  • All team formations and manager selections are subject to CGFP board approval.

*Submitting an interest form does not guarantee placement.

*CGFP reserves the right to remove ineligible participants or disband teams that fail to meet league requirements.

Financial Obligation

All games, uniforms, equipment, game balls, tournaments, umpire fees, and travel expenses are paid for by the families of the players, divided evenly. All costs are at the discretion of the Manager. Scheduling and team compliance including code of conduct violations are also at the discretion of the Managers. If a player is relieved from a team for any reason, no financial reimbursement is available.
