About Us

Clairemont Legacy.

A place to grow.

Since 1968, Clairemont Girls Fastpitch has brought girls and their families together through softball. We started as Clairemont Bobby Sox and became CGFP in 2003. We are a volunteer run, non-profit league that comes to life through the families, coaches, volunteers and players.

We are proud to watch our players of all levels develop from their first at bat, to winning a championship. We are dedicated to each player no matter where they are at in their softball journey.

We truly believe the lessons our girls learn on the field can follow them into so many different areas of their lives.

We honor and celebrate Friendship, Sportsmanship, Citizenship, Leadership and Scholarship in memory of beloved alumni player,  Kyrstin Gemar. Each spring, one player from each team is selected to receive the Kyrstin Gemar Award from our league.

*Krystin played Clairemont Girls Bobby Sox starting in 1993, and spent eight seasons with the league, becoming an All-Star in 2000. She went on to play at Clairemont High School, Grossmont College and Dicksinson State University.

Even as she advanced in softball, she made time to give back to the league that helped shape her. She passed away in 2009, at age 22 alongside two college teammates.

In 2010, CGFP renamed it's Five Ship Award in her honor, recognizing her accomplishments, character and dedication to the game and players.
