All-Stars
All-Stars at Clairemont Our Community. Our Colors. The Next level.
All-Stars is an opportunity for dedicated Clairemont players to take their game to the next level., representing the league they call home. After the Spring season has ended, selected top players come together to compete against other leagues in a summer tournament season pushing overall growth in competitive softball.
At CGFP, our players carry Clairemont pride on every field. Last year alone, two CGFP teams advanced to State Championships, demonstrating our continued dedication to developing players to their full potential.
What is All-Stars?
All-Stars is a competitive post season program for eligible players. Players from different Spring teams are selected to play on either "B" or "C" teams in their age divisions practicing and competing as one elite team. Families can expect more frequent and longer practices, weekend tournaments, and a greater commitment than the regular season. Tournament play gives the athlete opportunities to sharpen their skills on the field with focused and rigorous instruction and dedication from the coaching staff.
Commitments Expectations
All-Stars requires a commitment from both the player and their family. Players should plan to attend all scheduled practices, team activities, and be available for the full tournament schedule.
- Weekday practices- Many teams practice 4-5 days a week outside scheduled tournaments.
- Tournament weekends- Teams will play several games over a weekend, some tournament will begin on Fridays. Most include Pool play followed by Bracket play.
- Travel- The 2027 program will include a travel tournament. Families should plan for an out of town weekend that requires overnight stay.
- Championship/ District availability- Families accepting a roster spot are expected to remain available for Districts, and if the team qualifies, States and further championship play.
- Team attitude- Effort, coachability, sportsmanship, and supporting teammates throughout the season may have an impact on the players time on the field, including parent conduct.
Player interest does not guarantee a roster spot, as placement is competitive and considered collectively by all of the managers of the age divisions. Eligibility and selection will follow applicable USA Softball rules. Families that express interest will receive the program expectations before accepting a team placement.
