Spring Softball
Spring Softball at Clairemont
Clairemont Girls Fastpitch (CGFP) brings players together through softball, friendship, and neighborhood traditions. Our Spring Program offers a more competitive recreational season, with teams playing against others within our league. We welcome new and returning players, focusing on strong fundamentals, game awareness, teamwork, and the confidence to take on new challenges.
Our 2027 Spring Season will hold Assessments January 9, with make-up assessments held on January 11 (make-up assessments will be held in the afternoon). *all dates subject to change* Practices will start on Jan 18, games for the season will begin with our Opening Ceremony on February 6th, and conclude with Closing Ceremonies May 1.
Traditions Beyond the Game
- 100 inning game: A league fundraiser that brings the community together with a day of playing 100 collectively across all the teams.
- Ma & Pa Tournament: A community favorite where parents get to take the field and compete for the coveted championship hoodie in an all day event for the whole family.
- Parent's Night out: Get to know each other away from the fields with great food, friends, and adulting. Be thinking about how you can serve on the board: we will have the positions posted at the event. Amazing raffle baskets are perhaps the best part.
- Movie Night: A relaxed night for players an their families, with some of the best raffle baskets of the season. Each team brings curates a raffle basket...they never disappoint.
- Krystin Gemar Five Ship Award: Each Spring, at closing Ceremonies one player from each team will be honored with this award. Friendship, Sportsmanship, Citizenship, Leadership, Scholarship. Honoring former Clairemont Bobby Sox Player Krystin Gemar who returned to coach and mentor younger players.
