Player Information:

Any female athletes between the ages of 5 and 14* are invited to join CGFP this August for our Fall Ball season.

Age Divisions are based on birth years:

• 6U: 9/1/2016-8/31/2018
• 8U: 9/1/2014- 8/31/2016
• 10U: 9/1/2012-8/31/2014
• 12U: 9/1/2010- 8/31/2012
• 14U*: 9/1/2008-8/31/2010

We will make every attempt to place registered players on a team, but spots will be limited based on manager interest.

This year USA SOFTBALL changed the age requirements. Please see a new special section of the registration form where you can request consideration to play in the division that you would have previously been assigned based on the 22-23 USA SOFTBAL Age Chart. If your birthday falls between September 1 and December 31, and you have already played 2 years in your current division, this could apply to you. The decision will be based upon availability and assessment in both divisions.

Fall Ball fees are not charged by the league. Once assigned to a team your team manager will calculate fees for uniforms, umpires, game balls, team banner, and other team gear.

Fall Dates: Some exact dates are still TBD

• Registration is open from 7/3-7/29/23. First come first serve. There is limited space available.
• Fall Assessments: 8/5/23 (TBD). This fall we will hold assessments, very similar to our spring ball assessments, managers meeting, and draft process.
• Managers Meeting and draft: week of 8/14/23, exact dates TBD
• Players will be notified by their team manager via email no later than Friday, August 18, 2023
• Practice begins week of 8/21/23
• Games are on Sundays
• Playoffs: Tentatively 11/12/2023

*14U players may need to be reassigned to a 12U team if there is not enough interest in the 14U division to field a team.

Volunteers Needed:

• Managers – Manage team. Game management. Create practice plans. Communicate with families and players.
• Coaches – Assist with coaching a team during games. Assist with running field and batting cage practice.
• Team Parents- Coordinate with manager on team communication, events, schedule, and possibly help keep dugout in order and other things as needed.
• Field Maintenance Volunteers – Fix it jobs around the field and batting cages. Water and drag fields. Weekly maintenance schedule.
• Event Volunteers – Check in table. Auction Tables. Setup and tear down of tables, a/v, décor, food, etc.
• Fundraising/ Sponsorship Volunteers – Gather auction items. Arrange fundraising events. Sponsor outreach and coordination.
