Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update, March 13, 2020
USA Softball of Southern California understands that league representatives have many questions on how the coronavirus (COVID-19) announcements nationally and locally may affect their season, participants and community. Based on the current situation and local updates in Southern California, we recommend that leagues implement a temporary suspension of all league activities.
While each community is being affected differently by the coronavirus, if your league continues with current activities and events, USA Softball of SoCal strongly encourages you to seek the advice from your community municipalities, public health departments, and local school districts on how to proceed.
USA Softball of SoCal staff is exploring all options on how to proceed with the regular season and post season play. We appreciate your patience and flexibility allowing us the time to work through these details.
We are committed to supporting all our leagues, participants and softball family during this difficult time. We will be communicating with you on a consistent basis, providing updates as they come available. Please look for our official communication via email, on our website and on our social media.
We are advising all our leagues and families to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), your state’s public health department (click here for a listing of state public health departments), and other county and/or local authorities including precedents set by area school districts and government agencies.
