CGFP Fall Ball season's main objectives are to have fun, develop skills, prepare the player for the upper level of play and experience a healthy approach to competitiveness. Below is important information you need to know about this season.
Will my daughter make a team?
Team size will be determined by the number of registrations per division. Therefore, there is no guarantee that all registered players will be placed on a team but every effort possible will be made to place all players. Players not selected during the team drafts will be placed on a waiting list.
When are games played?
Players should be aware that all games are on Sundays. Games typically begin at 9 a.m. with the last game starting at 3:00pm. There may be instances of double headers and some travel within 20 miles for interleague games.
When does the season start?
Practices can begin August 13th
Games will start on September 9th and end before Thanksgiving.
Do the teams just play with CGFP teams? Do I have to travel for games?
Games are played against other CGFP teams as well as other leagues in San Diego County. Some travel within a 20 mile radius may be required, but a majority of the games will be played at the CGFP Home Fields.
Can my daughter play up/down her division?
No playing up or down a division (exception for 6U playing in 8U or for safety reasons at the discretion of the CGFP Board). Players must play in the division of their age group as listed below.
8U: Birth years 2010 – 2011
10U: Birth years 2008 – 2009
12U: Birth years 2006 – 2007
14U: Birth years 2004 – 2005
How much does Fall Ball Cost?
Fees are determined by the Managers of each team. There is a small administrative fee paid to the league for field maintenance and that fee will be spread evenly amongst each player. Additional fees for jerseys, socks, banners, snack bar tickets, etc will be added at the Manager's discretion and paid directly to the Manager.
I would love to be a manager. How do I sign up?
If you’re interested in managing a team or coaching, please fill out the online registration form and check the appropriate boxes. Without you, we can't have teams.
